This factory new and sealed Sony BDP-S1700 Blu-ray player offers a reference quality 1080P picture quality with studio master lossless audio. Also, good DVD and audio CD quality from the HDMI output. To use the BD-LIVE feature and persistent storage feature one needs to purchase a optional USB flash stick that is a minimum of 1GB or larger.
This Sony BDP-S1700 Blu-ray player also has 1080P streaming apps built in from Netflix, YouTube, and many others. However, one needs a wired Ethernet connection to use the streaming apps. Firmware update feature can be done over ethernet wired connection or with a USB stick.
This is an entry level Sony Blu-ray player and WI-FI is not offered from this model.
Included with the Blu-ray player is a remote control, instruction manual, and retail box.
